British travellers to Norway have been warned of an increased terrorism threat in the country.
The alert came yesterday in updated travel advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The FCO said: “Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Norway.
“Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by foreigners.
“There’s a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time.”
Norway’s national terror threat level was raised for two months in April after a homemade bomb was found in the centre of Oslo.
