A dedicated lounge for Virgin Holidays customers has opened at Universal’s new Aventura Hotel in Orlando.
It is the first time that Universal Orlando Resort has allowed another travel company to open an exclusive offering on its premises.
The v-hub will be available for Virgin Holidays’ guests to access free wi-fi, eat light breakfasts and shower before flying back to the UK.
A member of staff from the operator will be available to answer queries on park opening times, flight departures and options for luggage storage.
The 600-room Universal Aventura Hotel brings the total number of Universal Orlando Resort hotel rooms to 6,200.
The property features the destination’s first-ever rooftop bar and grill.
Virgin Holidays head of USA product Angus Bond said: “This partnership is designed to ensure our customers get the most from their holiday, by grabbing a quick breakfast prior to hitting the parks or making the most of your last day with access to shower facilities.
“The fact we are the first travel and tourism company to ever pioneer a concept like this with Universal Orlando Resort is a testament to the strength of our relationship and cements our position as the number one international tour operator to Florida.”
Universal Parks & Resorts managing director Alison Montague added: “With the opening of Universal’s Volcano Bay last year – our third park – there is so much to see and do.
“Just like Virgin Holidays we want our guests to squeeze every last minute out of their holiday and we are delighted to work with them as part of this unique customer proposition.”
