Barrhead Travel has doubled the size of its Glasgow Fort branch as part of ongoing expansion plans.
The new branch provides in-store laptops for customers to independently browse potential destinations online, as well as virtual reality headsets.
The Glasgow Fort expansion follows the opening of new stores in Port Glasgow and Southampton earlier this year, with a third new store opening in Fort Kinnaird later in 2018.
Sharon Munro, president of Barrhead Travel, described Glasgow Fort as the company’s ‘most innovative store to date’ and said: “We’re delighted that our retail network continues to grow in strength – both in number and through the development of our existing branches. When visiting our Glasgow store, the blend of special one-to-one contact with online freedom will cover every consumer touch point.”
The shop, which remains in the Fort Retail Outlet, also features dedicated Cruise Lounge, a Foreign Currency Bureaux and VIP area for private consultations.
The larger store now has space for 19 consultants and recruitment is underway to fill available positions.
