ABTA, in partnership with Arnold Fisher Insurance Services, is offering an exclusive insurance policy to members, which it says covers all travel agents’ business insurance needs.
Areas covered by the ABTA Agents’ Combined Office Policy include building and office contents, professional indemnity, employer’s, director and officer’s liability, and business interruption.
The combined policy also avoids the need for separate product liability cover – the insurance members must take out when acting as principals to comply with the Package Travel Regulations. Under the combined policy, up to 25% of the members’ turnover is covered when acting as a principal.
ABTA marketing manager Michael Threlfall said: “The ABTA Agents’ Combined Office Policy provides a policy to cover all of an ABTA retailers’ building and office content, as well as professional indemnity requirements.
“By including liability cover for up to a quarter of a member’s principal turnover, the policy is especially attractive for ABTA dual members and small ATOL holders”
