Operations at Hong Kong International airport have resumed following chaotic scenes at the hub in which protesters clashed with riot police.
The airport said flights are scheduled on Wednesday but some are delayed or cancelled.
The airport said it had obtained a temporary injunction banning protesters from entering certain areas and warned it would “restrain” activists.
Thousands gathered at the airport on Monday and Tuesday as part of demonstrations which started in June in opposition to a proposed extradition bill which would allow suspected criminals to be sent to mainland China for trial.
On Tuesday protesters blocked travellers from accessing flights but it later escalated and riot police arrived and clashed with protesters.
In a statement today, the airport said: “Hong Kong International Airport will implement flight rescheduling today (14 August) with flight movements expected to be affected.
“Passengers are reminded to pay attention to the latest flight information through the airport’s website and “HKG My Flight” mobile app. Please confirm the flights before heading to the airport. Passengers can also check with their airlines for the latest flight information.
“The Airport Authority has obtained an interim injunction to restrain persons from unlawfully and wilfully obstructing or interfering with the proper use of Hong Kong International Airport (the Airport).
“Persons are also restrained from attending or participating in any demonstration or protest or public order event in the Airport other than in the area designated by the Airport Authority.”
The FCO said: “Passengers should check their flight status and the latest information on the Hong Kong International Airport website and also contact their airlines for information and for alternative flight arrangements.
“Over 500 flights have been cancelled at Hong Kong International Airport on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 August, which could have a knock on effect on flight availability in and out of Hong Kong.”
