Relaunched easyJet Holidays is joining the turn of year discounting fray by cutting the prices of thousands of packages and flights.
The budget airline’s tour operating arm is trimming £200 off beach holidays and 20% off 300,000 seats.
The new year sale runs until January 20 for travel between April 1 and October 31.
Rates lead-in at £295 per person for seven nights’ self-catering in Menorca from Gatwick departing on May 2.
The operator’s commercial director Alex Loftus said: “We believe our holidays are some of the best value available all year round.
“We have also introduced thousands of discounts across our newly launched easyJet holidays business, offering a fantastic, extensive range of holidays at even better value.
“Combined with the best flight prices across our easyJet network, we are perfectly positioned to offer our customers the flexibility, quality and value they are looking for when booking their next holiday.”
The latest peaks activity came as The Travel Network Group chief executive Gary Lewis reported “very positive” trading.
He said: “Feedback from members and our homeworkers has been that post-Christmas trading has got off to a very strong start.
“It would appear that consumer confidence is on the rise now that the election is behind us and there is more certainty over the Brexit timetable.”
