Jet2.com commercial director leaves business

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ commercial director Steve Lee has left the company.

Lee had been with Jet2.com since it was founded in October 2002 and was on its first ever flight in 2003 and was with the company as it launched tour operator Jet2holidays in 2007.

He had previously been commercial director of Channel Express, which was the forerunner to Jet2.com that was bought by executive chairman Philip Meeson.

Lee’s departure was confirmed on Companies House, which said he departed on Monday, March 9.

A spokesman for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “After more than 30 years’ with the company, Steve Lee has decided to leave the business.

“We are incredibly grateful to Steve for his contribution since initially joining Channel Express, and then moving to Jet2.com in 2002 where he played a huge role in setting up our successful business. We wish Steve all the very best for the future.”
