Specialists bolster 2000 programmes

SCHEDULED flights, private homes and villas and a range of upmarket hotels feature prominently in the latest crop of 2000 programmes to be launched by Florida specialists.

Funway Holidays’ Florida and Mexico brochure features a new Top-Notch hotel selection to complement its economy, first class and superior range of accommodation. These include the Don Cesar at St Pete Beach, the Breakers at Palm Beach, Loews South Beach Hotel in Miami and the new Loews Portofino Bay at Universal Studios Escape theme park in Orlando.

Funway is also adding deluxe villas and apartments in all its major Florida locations to its range of private homes featured this year.

Managing director Stephen Hughes said: “We are increasing capacity for private homes in the Orlando area and the Gulf Coast as well as introducing the villas and apartments.

“These are very popular as a couple of families can stay in a private home for the same price as a hotel room.”

Private homes with pools in Orlando can sleep up to eight and cost from £336 per home per week.

Unijet’s new Florida brochure features six more hotel properties in areas of Orlando, Miami and the Gulf Coast.

It is also adding scheduled Continental Airlines flights from London and UK regional airports to Miami, Fort Myers, Tampa and Orlando via Newark/New York. Two weeks at the Marco Island Marriott Resort and Golf Club costs from £789 during May based on four adults sharing, including Continental flights and a car.
