Discover Egypt adds standalone holidays to the Red Sea region

Discover Egypt has launched a dedicated Red Sea programme with its first single-centre holidays to the area as a result of growing demand and reduced prices.

The operator has traditionally offered the Red Sea only as part of a package, usually including a Nile cruise. Discover Egypt specialises in packaging Nile cruises and classical trips, as well as tailor-made itineraries.

But large-scale discounts and low prices due to the unrest in other parts of Egypt and the Middle East earlier in the year have helped stimulate demand for the destination.

Director Philip Breckner said: “With such a plethora of direct flights to the Red Sea and strong demand, it makes sense that we apply our expertise and knowledge to the destination. We will now offer agents the option of booking single-centre holidays to all the popular coastal resorts along the Red Sea Riviera.”

These include Sharm el-Sheikh, Taba, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, El Gouna, Dahab and Ain Soukhna.Flights are available from Gatwick, Heathrow, Manchester, Glasgow and most UK regional airports.

Sample prices include seven nights’ bed and breakfast at the Arena Inn in El Gouna on May 20 for £399, including Gatwick flights.
