Luxury tour operator Elegant Resorts has introduced a programme dedicated to holidays in the UK and Ireland.
The operator said the decision to introduce the new collection came following a customer poll which revealed 60% of its clients were interested in ‘luxury staycations’. Elegant Resorts said the survey, named The Future of Travel, had highlighted a particular interest in booking private high-end homes in the UK.
The new offering features hotels such as Gleneagles in Scotland, the Merrion in Ireland and The Newt in Somerset. It also includes private estates and castles such as Inverlochy Castle in the Scottish Highlands and Cromlix in Perthshire.
Lisa Fitzell, managing director of Elegant Resorts, said: “I am extremely excited that following such incredible client feedback, we have extended our luxury offering in the UK and Ireland to increase the choice of luxury staycations available to our clients.
“We discovered that although the majority still had the desire to take a luxury holiday abroad by the end of the year, there was also an increasing demand to enjoy the beauty and culture a little closer to home.
“Whether that be a countryside retreat, a coastal haven, or an exquisite experience with access to the inaccessible, the majority have a strong desire to discover or rediscover our very own homeland, with the usual personalised and meticulous service that they have become accustomed to.”
