GOLDEN Tulip hotel consortium has signed up five new properties in Germany as part of its strategy to lift its portfolio from 370 to 700 by 2002.
The Golden Tulip Kronprinz Berlin near Berlin Tegel Airport, the Golden Tulip Korn near Dusseldorf, the Golden Tulip Hotel Am Leuchtturm near Hamburg, the Tulip Inn Hamburg-Hanseport near Hamburg Airport and the Tulip Inn Neuss near Dusseldorf Airport have all entered the consortium.
The group, which is owned by reservation and distribution network provider REZsolutions, has said it wished to almost double its properties in the next two and a half years and was targeting three and four-star hotels in Germany, France and Belgium.
Golden Tulip Worldwide director of marketing Ruth Dawson said: “In the past year, we have doubled our portfolio in Germany and with these new additions we are demonstrating our commitment to further expansion.”
