Jetsave branches out with move into Caribbean market

JETSAVE has added two tours in the Caribbean to its 2000 escorted touring programme.

The 15-day Caribbean Contrasts visits Jamaica and Cuba while the 14-day Islands in the Sun takes in Antigua, St Lucia, Grenada and Barbados.

Product director Alberto Boeri said it was crucial to boost the programme.

“Some of our clients have been with us six or seven times and have done most of the US and Canada,” he said. “It is up to us to offer them something new.”

He added the new tours will help differentiate its product from rivals.

“The Caribbean is associated with beach holidays but there is so much more to them than that,” he said.

The Caribbean Contrasts tour leads in at £1,198 per person staying in three-star superior accommodation.

A further 11 itineraries have been added, among them a 17-day Route 66 tour from Chicago to Los Angeles.

Boeri said the itinerary also contains a greater mix of rail and coachtravel.

New excursions include an Arctic Circle flight, hot air ballooning in New Mexico, dinner jazz cruise in New Orleans and helicopter flights over New York and Niagara.
