Globe awards to raise money for Reuben’s Retreat

Travel Weekly is to raise money for Reuben’s Retreat at the Globe Travel Awards in January.

Reuben Graham died in August aged 23 months of a rare brain tumour.

His parents Nicola and Mike, of Red Sea Holidays and Celebrity Cruises, have set up Reuben’s Retreat to raise £1 million to build a retreat and counselling centre for families of children with
life-threatening illnesses.

The travel industry has rallied around the charity, raising £120,000 so far.

Nicola said: “Our story has really gathered momentum and Travel Weekly’s part in that has been instrumental. We are most grateful to all the team and particularly for their decision to support us at the Globes, which is a huge opportunity.

“We are going to put together something really special for the Globes on January 17 as a thank you to Travel Weekly and its readers for all their support.”
