Abta unveils revamped website

A new look and feel, clearer navigation and enhanced search capability have been introduced as part of a revamp of the Abta website.

The association claims the relaunch means that members and consumers will be able to find what they are looking for at www.abta.com within a few clicks.

Members will find it easier to access information in the ‘member zone,’ from guidance notes on critical business issues to operational updates, destination data and news and views from the association.

When users sign in to the password protected area, they will have the ability to customise what they see to ensure they get the information most relevant to their business and areas of interest.

Members will also be able to search Abta’s Travel Industry Partners to access exclusive offers and discounts. Members need to register on the new site in order to access the information in the member zone.

The site features an expanded and improved consumer zone – Go Travel – to appeal more broadly to consumers. This offers travel tips before they go on holiday and when they are away, as well as advice on what they can do when they get home in the unlikely event something goes wrong with their holiday.

Go Travel also highlights the benefits of booking with an Abta member, which complements the association’s turn of year “look for the logo” campaign.

Head of communications Victoria Bacon said: “Our website is one of the key contact points we have with our members and consumers so it’s very important that it enables us to provide news, information and services in a timely and user-friendly way.

“We’d encourage all members to register and explore the new site to familiarise themselves with the information and resources available to them.”
