Express ticket aims to cut Disney waiting

FLORIDA’S Walt Disney World Resort is piloting a scheme designed to reduce queues at its theme park attractions.

It is trialling a Fastpass system where visitors can book an allocated entry time to attractions at its Animal Kingdom park.

Visitors can either wait in line as normal or insert their park admission ticket into a separate turnstile to receive a Fastpass with a return time.

Each attraction will display a clock showing normal waiting time and the Fastpass return time.

This allows visitors to enjoy other areas of the complex and return at the designated time to enter the attraction of their choice through the Fastpass entrance with no queuing.

The system is expected to be rolled out at the most popular attractions in the Magic Kingdom and Disney-MGM Studios later in the summer.
