Bookings are now open for Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth hotel, Cabana Bay Beach Resort, which is scheduled to open in 2014.
The 1,800-room property is designed to be an affordable option at the resort, offering value-priced guest rooms and moderately priced family suites.
Universal said the hotel would “evoke the classic, retro-feel of iconic beach resorts from the 1950s and 60s”, and will open in two stages in 2014.
An area located around what will be called the North Courtyard will open first, followed later in 2014 by an area located around the South Courtyard. Each area will have a unique look and feel.
Alice Norsworthy, executive vice-president of marketing and sales at Universal Orlando Resort, said: “We believe Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort will offer an experience unlike any other in Central Florida.
It will create an entirely new, value-driven option for families that want to stay within Universal Orlando Resort.”
Reservations are now being accepted for stays beginning on March 31, 2014.
