Center Parcs is to open its fifth UK village – and the closest to London – on June 6.
Woburn Forest has created 1,500 jobs for people in the surrounding areas of Bedfordshire.
The new village, which has been under construction for two years, consists of 625 lodges, a 75-room hotel, Center Parcs’ largest Subtropical Swimming Paradise in the UK and a spa with six spa suites.
There are also a range of shops and restaurants, including The Shearing House, a restaurant the company says will be unique to Woburn Forest.
Indoor and outdoor activities include archery, canoeing and laser combat; nature activities like falconry, bird watching and willow weaving; creative pursuits such as pottery painting and sports including badminton, tennis and fencing.
The closest rail station is Flitwick, which can be reached from London St Pancras in just under one hour.
Center Parcs chief executive Martin Dalby said: “We are thrilled to be announcing the opening date of our new village.
“The opening of Woburn Forest means that the Center Parcs experience is within easy reach of even more families in the UK and will bring something new to Center Parcs with a number of exciting new concepts and designs which we know guests will enjoy.”
Breaks in June lead in at £399.
