Ryanair is seeking a replacement for head of corporate travel and groups Lesley Kane who will leave the carrier next month.
Kane has been a key figure in Ryanair’s recent move to improve customer service and target corporate travellers. She has been at Ryanair for 18 years.
The carrier is also seeking a head of sales and marketing.
Kane is the latest long-standing member of Ryanair’s management to stand down, following chief financial officer Howard Millar and chief operating officer Michael Cawley.
She insisted her decision “had absolutely nothing to do with the change in direction” at the airline. Kane plans to move back to Scotland with her family.
The responsibilities of her replacement will include managing and developing Ryanair’s GDS partnerships and working with travel management companies (TMCs).
Ryanair joined the Travelport GDSs in April and expects to join at least one other GDS by the end of the year. Kane has previously confirmed the carrier is in discussions with both Amadeus and Sabre.
Both recruits will report to chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs, who joined from Moneysupermarket.com in January.Ryanair announced the appointment of new chief technology officer John Hurley this week.
