GRAY Dawes Travel has boosted its presence in the north of England after buying independent business travel agent Travel Choices for an undisclosed sum.
Travel Choices, which has a turnover of over £2m, has one office in Accrington, Greater Manchester, and two company implants in the region.
Gray Dawes managing director Ray Hopkins said the Travel Choices name will remain.
“Travel Choices is a well respected name in the Greater Manchester area, and by adding the national strength of Gray Dawes we will be able to substantially increase the level of service to clients and the volume of business being handled.”
The Travel Choices offices will benefit from Gray Dawes’ access to the latest technology, including automated ticket boarding-pass printers to produce tickets on premises.
With the acquisition of Travel Choices, Gray Dawes has increased the number of UK branches to eight. Last week, it opened a new branch in Cardiff to serve the Wales and south-west England region (Travel Weekly July 5).
