Etihad suspends flights to Peshawar following attack

Etihad Airways has suspended flights to Peshawar following yesterday’s Taliban attack on a school in the northern Pakistani city.

The attack killed at least 132 children and nine staff.

Services between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar will remain grounded from today until further notice due to ongoing security concerns, the Gulf carrier said.

The move follows a directive from the emirate’s General Civil Aviation Authority.

Other international airlines serving Peshawar have reportedly taken a similar stance.

Etihad said: “Arrangements are being made to assist all affected passengers and they are being advised of alternative Etihad Airways services to and from Pakistan.”
