Tui ranked among top 10 best big company employers in UK

Tui has been named as one of 10 best very big organisations to work for in the UK.

The category in the annual Sunday Times Best Places to Work league covers firms employing more than 2,000 staff and also includes businesses such as Octopus Energy, Vitality and David Lloyd Clubs.

Tui was also highly commended as a best place to work for employee wellbeing.

EasyJet holidays was named in the big organisation category for companies with between 250 and 1,000 employees together with Dorchester Collection and Dakota Hotels.

The results come from a nationwide workplace survey designed to honour and celebrate the UK’s top employers covering more than  500 organisations across industries and sizes.

The survey uses 26 questions from an employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to most accurately monitor staff engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace.

An organisation must score well across a six-step framework to achieve a high overall engagement score covering reward and recognition, instilling pride, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction.

Tui UK and Ireland managing director Andrew Flintham said: “I am thrilled that Tui UK has been recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK, and I’m especially proud we are highly commended for wellbeing.

“We always strive to make Tui a great place to work for our colleagues – whether that’s crew working for our airline, retail staff manning our stores on the high street, or customer service colleagues working to give our customers the best holidays possible.”

HR director Julie Tindale added: “I already knew that Tui UK was a fantastic place to work, so it’s great to have this confirmed by our colleagues and see it publicly recognised.

“It’s our teams and our culture that make the difference and support our aim to attract and retain the best possible talent.”
