Canadian Affair hosts ‘Battle of the Agents’ fam trip

Canadian Affair’s ‘Battle of the Agents’ fam trip is under way, with six participants vying to be crowned champion and win a £250 Love2shop voucher and commemorative certificate.

The group, which arrived in British Columbia on Sunday, May 19, will take part in a series of challenges throughout the week and get awarded points based on their performances.

The challenges have been designed to immerse the agents in their itinerary in a “new and unique way”, according to the specialist tour operator.

Lee Rogers, product and commercial director at Canadian Affair, said: “Our travel agent partners are incredibly important to us and we’re always looking for ways to build on those relationships and offer agents something new.”

The fam trip, which is being run in collaboration with Destination British Columbia, has been organised to allow agents to experience the nature, culture and cuisine of the province.

The challenges will be a mixture of individual and team activities, with the rules remaining a secret until each morning. The winner will be crowned during the final group dinner on Thursday, May 23.

Nick Talbot, head of marketing at Canadian Affair, said: “Our inaugural Battle of the Agents fam trip has been in the works for months, and we’re so excited that it’s now officially under way.

“We’ve lined up an incredible itinerary with lots of really engaging challenges for the agents to tackle, and we have no doubt that they are going to have immense fun and probably a lot of laughs along the way.”

Destination British Columbia’s said: “We’re thrilled that this exciting new-style fam trip is taking place in British Columbia, as the group travels along the iconic Rainforest to Rockies route, and we can’t wait to show the agents everything that this incredible province has to offer.

“With these exciting and interactive challenges incorporated throughout the trip, the participants will experience BC in a completely unique way and we have no doubt that they will love it just as much as we do.”
