Canadian Affair plans ‘Battle of the Agents’ fam trips

Canadian Affair has unveiled a new style of fam named ‘Battle of the Agents’, which will involve competitions and prizes to be won throughout the trip.

The specialist tour operator to Canada said agents will compete in challenges for spot prizes during the trip and can win points to put them in contention to win a grand prize at the end of the fam.

Daily challenges will include capturing content about Canadian landmarks, completing short destination knowledge quizzes and learning indigenous phrases from locals.

To win additional points, agents can share their experiences on their social media channels.

The inaugural Battle of the Agents fam has eight spaces available and will visit the Canadian province of British Columbia in May 2024.

Details of how agents can win a place on the trip will be announced soon.

Lee Rogers, product and commercial director at Canadian Affair, said: “We are continually looking for ways to enhance the experiences we offer our agent partners.

“The Battle of the Agents reflects our desire to make fam trips a more dynamic and knowledge-driven experience.

“It is a new and engaging way for agents to immerse themselves in Canada, while equipping them with the insights to sell the destination more effectively.”

Lisa Cooper, UK travel trade director at Destination British Columbia, added: “Canadian Affair’s innovative new approach to fam trips provides a transformative experience for agents, and sets a new benchmark for the travel industry.

“It’s a pleasure to work with them to deliver these initiatives and showcase what British Columbia has to offer.”
