The Personal Travel Consultants in partnership with Blue Bay Travel has revealed plans for a top sellers trip next year as it recognises this year’s best-performing agents.
The announcement was made at the homeworking group’s second annual conference, held at the Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort and Spa in Majorca, as it celebrated its top agents with special awards.
The two-day conference, attended by 28 agents and 12 suppliers, included speed dating sessions, a day on board Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambassador Ambience ship, and a gala dinner with entertainment and awards.
The group’s first top sellers trip will particularly aim to reward those agents who sell more than £1 million worth of holidays a year or the top sellers of certain types of holidays, such as cruise, said The PTCs group manager Abbie Heaton.
That number is rising and is already double a year ago.
There are 12 PTCs who have already made sales worth more than £1 million so far this year, up from six a year ago.
Heaton anticipates there will be 15 PTCs who have sold more than £1 million holidays by Christmas.
She said: “This is very much a rewards trip. It would not be a fam trip, it would be a thank you for your sales.”
Agents awarded for their sales at this year’s conference included Lynne Walton, who took the top seller award for generating the highest revenue through self-generated customer leads. Her total sales to date this year are just shy of £1.8 million.
PTC David Coulter was presented the ‘Top Blue Bay Seller’ award for generating the highest revenue from sales through Blue Bay Travel-generated customer leads, with more than £1.5 million so far this year.
Kerry Jones was named ‘PTC Angel’ in recognition of her knowledge and support she gives fellow PTCs.
Other awards included the ‘Special Recognition’ award, which went to Nicola Szymanowski, as the PTC with the most improved year on year sales performance, and the ‘Rising Star’ award, won by Sam Davis as the PTC who has seen the most consistent increase in sales since she joined in January.
