Travel Counsellors is enhancing its in-house Phenix booking platform with direct connectivity to hotels.
The integration builds on the company’s tour operating business as it will provide agents with instant access to live hotel offers including special offers and live rates.
They will also be able to view availability in real-time and continue to support bespoke travel itineraries for leisure customers.
The latest development in Phenix includes a direct connection with Palace Resorts in Mexico and Jamaica.
Discussions will be prioritised with additional hotel groups that align with the needs of premium leisure customers, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to offering luxury experiences, according to Travel Counsellors.
The hotel connectivity project marks a “substantial investment” in both technology and the dedicated support team based at the Travel Counsellors’ headquarters in Manchester.
The initiative is part of an ongoing multi-million-pound investment in Phenix.
Supplier partner connectivity director Simon Ward said: “Integrating direct hotel connectivity within Phenix is a pivotal milestone in our commitment to equipping Travel Counsellors business owners with the very best tools to serve their customers.
“By staying closely connected to hotel products and availability, our business owners can deliver a highly tailored experience, meeting and exceeding the demands of our premium leisure customers.
“We’re delighted to partner with Palace Resorts Mexico and Jamaica as one of the first hotel groups to integrate with Phenix, and we look forward to welcoming additional hotel brands to this growing network.”
Gloucester-based Travel Counsellor Emily Bell said: “As we head to the end of the year and into the busy peaks season, being able to view live availability will be a real advantage, enabling me to turnaround complex travel itineraries efficiently, and focus on the little details that make a trip so special, and more than memorable.”
