Vietnam Airlines has resumed a daily service from Heathrow for the winter season.
The airline is to operate four flights a week to Hanoi and three a week to Ho Chi Minh City with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Vietnam Airlines offers the only non-stop flights from the UK to Vietnam, operating from Heathrow Terminal 4.
The flights are scheduled to offer overnight journeys in both directions, with onward connections via Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to multiple destinations, including Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, South Korea, Japan, and Australia.
Return economy fares start at £748 with discounts of up to five per cent for members of its Lotusmiles loyalty scheme. New members registering before December 31 also receive 1,000 bonus miles.
Meanwhile, Etihad Airways and Vietnam Airlines are set to work towards a collaboration after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a “potential agreement”.
“The MoU reflects a dedication to exploring an enhanced working relationship, where the airlines plan to implement a broad collaboration including a codeshare, reciprocal loyalty programmes, cargo transport, maintenance, repair and overhaul, and ground handling,” Etihad said..
