Wizz Air saw January passenger carrying rise by 4% year-on-year to 4.93 million.
The eastern and central European budget carrier said a “positive yield environment and booking profile” continued into January.
Seat capacity was down 0.8% over the same month last year, resulting in a load factor of 86%, up four percentage points.
This followed a 3.1 and 4.3 percentage point improvement in November and December, respectively.
The January performance gave the airline, which is struggling with aircraft groundings due to engine replacement requirements, a rolling 12 month total of 62.8 million passengers – up 3.2%.
