Having just opened its doors in September 2024, The Rooftop Bar is the cherry on the Riu Plaza Chicago cake. The venue is open daily, from 4pm until midnight from Monday to Thursday, and from midday to midnight from Friday to Sunday.
The Rooftop’s standout feature is its exhilarating glass balcony, which extends 88 metres over the busy street below, offering a brand-new way to see the city from above – and a thrilling experience for those who dare to look down.
On the menu, visitors will find international dishes, ranging from light bar snacks to larger plates, such as spicy crab rolls, clam chowder and poke bowls, plus a selection of desserts for those with a sweet tooth.
These can be paired with a classic martini or with The Rooftop’s signature Chicago cocktail, along with an extensive menu of premium wines, non-alcoholic and hot drinks. Whether clients are planning a night out with friends or want to enjoy a romantic sunset drink in the clouds, The Rooftop offers the perfect escape.

While The Rooftop might be the crown jewel, Riu Plaza Chicago is the perfect base for clients keen to explore the sights in the Windy City. With 390 stylish rooms encompassing Deluxe King rooms, Family Rooms, suites and more, guests will have space to unwind, along with all the mod-cons and even city views from certain rooms.
