Not Just Travel recruits Richard Lowrey-Heywood as BDM

Not Just Travel has appointed Richard Lowrey-Heywood as business development manager, to offer training and support for its homeworking agents.

He joins the company from Seaside Travel, where he was brand manager.

Lowrey-Heywood started his first travel job after leaving school aged 16 and his other roles since then have included holiday repping in Rhodes, retail management at Thomas Cook and being a contact centre agent at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

He has since undertaken Not Just Travel’s induction training, alongside new starters joining the agency’s 720+ homeworking travel consultants.

He also said that he had not been looking to move until he saw the job advert for an additional BDM in the Not Just Travel team.

“It was a dream come true. I’m so obsessed with travel that I even love living under a flight path,” he said.

“The job is incredibly exciting; to be able to help people who have taken the leap of faith and start businesses in travel makes my heart swell.

“I’m excited to help consultants develop their businesses.

“My priorities are to be there whenever my consultants need me and share the knowledge I have earned.

“I love social media and have built successful businesses off the back of promoting authentic content that is true to you and your values.

“I tell people to just be you on video – don’t filter, don’t try to be perfect; people want to do business with the real you.”

Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said: “Richard’s passion and energy is infectious and he’s already a real asset to our team.

“We’ve created a system that hones in on actions that directly boost sales, recruiting BDMs who instil confidence in our consultants to sell with passion and authenticity.”

Following his departure after two-and-a-half years from Seaside Travel, the 13-branch agency promoted a raft of its long-standing shop managers to create a senior management team to cover his responsibilities.
