AVIS UK has reappointed Sacha Cooper as head of marketing but has beefed up her role to include a board position and involvement in strategic decisions.
Cooper was head of marketing from 1997 to mid-1998 but changed roles to global account manager for British Airways when she went part-time.
She will oversee the global account for BA and will report directly to UK managing director Luke Medley, who replaces Georges Sampeur next month.
She said: “The main change is that I will be more involved in commercial decisions and the strategic direction of the company as well as having responsibility for pricing and yield.”
Meanwhile, Avis Europe has appointed Dale Morley as Asian general manager.He will report to John McNicholas who was promoted to vice-president licensee development.
Morley joined Avis in 1975 and has held many roles including vice-president marketing and sales for Europe, Africa and the Middle East at Avis Inc in New York. Morley replaces Gene Barkatullah who has retired.
