First graduate management scheme introduced by easyJet holidays

EasyJet holidays is to run its first graduate management scheme echoing an initiative run by its sister airline.

The two and a half year programme will require graduates to undertake six-month rotations across the operator’s customer, operations, commercial and digital functions.

Participants will be tasked with a business-related challenge after their first year. Successful candidates will start the programme in September.

They will have the opportunity to explore permanent vacancy options six months before the programme is complete, according to the company.

Participants, who must apply by February 13, will also have frequent check ins with board members, mentorship and coaching, 360-degree feedback and the opportunity to attend external conferences.

The aim is to provide those who are early in their career in-depth experience and professional development in the travel and tour operator industry.

The programme follows easyJet, which offers graduate programmes in engineering, finance and management.

EasyJet holidays chief executive Garry Wilson said: “As one of the UK’s leading tour operators, we’re passionate about developing a pipeline of diverse, early talent, and accelerating the development of our industry’s future leaders.

“So I’m delighted to be launching the very first easyJet holidays graduate programme, which will offer participants a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience of strategic projects that will not only help drive our business forward but will help develop the skills and expertise needed to become a travel industry leader of the future.”
