CRYSTAL CRUISES PUTS E-MAIL ON THE AGENDA


Crystal Cruises has introduced a pre-boarding e-mail service for all passengers. They will receive an on-board e-mail address, printed on their cruise ticket, so that they can pass it on to friends and business contacts before departure.


HAPAG-LLOYD SETS SAIL FOR ANTARCTIC


The Cruise Portfolio is featuring three Antarctic cruises on the Hapag-Lloyd expedition ship Hanseatic for this winter. Prices lead in at £3,345 for 14 nights. Two summer itineraries to the Atlantic coast of Canada and Newfoundland are also being offered. A 14-night Polar Bear, Inuit and Vikings flycruise costs from £2,495 in August and a 12-night whalewatching cruise starts at £2,095.


ROYAL OLYMPIC IN MANAGEMENT CHANGE


Poor results have prompted a major management shake-up at Royal Olympic Cruises. Three directors have resigned and Andreas Potamianos and Alex Kesseuoglou from the line’s two co-owning families have stepped in as co-chairmen. Itinerary changes are planned and charters for some of the cruiseline’s ships have been arranged.


FESTIVAL UNVEILS MISTRAL PRICES


Flycruise prices for the five-day pre-inaugural voyage of Festival Cruises’ Mistral have been set at £625 in a four-berth and £690 in a two-bed cabin. The cruise starts in Genoa on July 12 and calls at Villefranche, Olbia, Tunis, Malta and Naples. Port charges are extra.


GAY CRUISES BANNED FROM JAMAICAN PORTS


Jamaica has banned exclusively gay cruises from its ports. This follows similar moves by the Cayman Islands and protests in the Bahamas against the cruises.
