Hogg Robinson’s new e-commerce unit targets travel clients

BTI UK parent company Hogg Robinson has set up a new division to develop e-commerce solutions for its clients.

Based at the company’s head office in Farnborough, the department is headed up by former information systems product and services director Bill Brindle, who now becomes Hogg Robinson e-commerce managing director.

Brindle said the e-commerce unit will develop solutions for all of Hogg Robinson’s business interests but travel will make up the majority of the work the unit is involved in.

The department will carry out work throughout Europe but many of the developments will be for UK-based companies.

Brindle said:”The division will be involved in a whole analysis of the way that technology can improve business and how we can help our clients to give a better service.”

Hogg Robinson e-commerce has been set up following the company’s acquisition of a 20% stake in WT Technologies, a US-based systems company, in November last year.
