Industry needs to address graduate concerns

As a third year BSc (Hons) tourism student at Buckinghamshire University College and a regular subscriber to Travel Weekly, Iwould like to voice my disappointment at the lack of graduate opportunities available in the travel and tourism industry.

I am currently seeking a career in the industry, based in the London area at the end of June- early July.

I use your publication as a guide and to gain a wider insight into the trade, however the job opportunities available are wholly for people with a number of years experience.

How are students suppose to gain anyexperience if no-one is willing to employ and train them?

I would like to start my career in one of the most popular, and fast-growing industries in the world and feel that students of travel and tourism are being denied the opportunities we rightly deserve.
