NEW York designer hotel, SoHo Grand, will have a sister property in the city from next month.
The TriBeCa Grand will have 203 rooms and will be located at Two Avenue of the Americas.
Like the SoHo Grand, the hotel claims to be chic, modern and high-tech and will cater for the trendy, upmarket business and leisure traveller.
There will be a 98-seat screening room, 24hr concierge and room service, in-room Internet access via high-speed ports and televisions with wireless keyboards. There will be no formal restaurant but instead the atrium lounge will serve light meals designed to meet the needs of guests and, possibly jet-lagged, visitors at any time of the day.
“The TriBeCa Grand is not your grandmother’s hotel,” said Emanual Stern, president of Hartz Mountain Industries, the property’s owner and developer.
“The hotel is plugged in, literally, to the glamour of a new era. Yet there is a tradition of old-style hospitality and personal attention that we want to preserve.”
Rates will range from $399 to $549 for rooms, and from $649 to $1,499 for suites. The hotel’s Web site address is www.tribecagrand.com.
Repeat guests can qualify for a Grand Guest Programme, which offers guaranteed rates and availability, special amenities and rewards.
