Hotels offering on-site PCR tests as they prepare for summer

A number of hotels have moved to offer guests the option of taking Covid tests in resort as they prepare for the summer season.

Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa will be the first Palladium Hotel Group property to open, on April 30.

Guests staying there, and at Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa, which is also in Ibiza, will be able to take both antigen and PCR tests. Tests will be analysed at laboratories, and results delivered to the client; in less than an hour for antigen and in under 24 hours for PCR.

Elsewhere in Ibiza, 7Pines Resort is offering a free PCR test for guests choosing its 28-day ‘Work in Style’ extended stay offer.

Louis Hotels is to offer free PCR testing to guests staying for seven night or more at its hotels in Cyprus this summer.

Those staying for a shorter period can have the test at a subsidised cost. Analysis will take place by lab technicians at a designated area at each of the group’s 17 hotels in Paphos, Limassol and Protaras. Staff will be tested weekly.

Also in Cyprus, the Almyra and Annabelle hotels – part of the Thanos Hotels and Resorts group – is including the option of a PCR test on seven-night stays as part of its ‘Find Me…’ concept promising stress-free holidays.

Greek group The MarBella Collection is to provide on-site access to PCR or rapid testing upon request.

Costa Navarino, also in Greece, is offering free antigen tests for guests and PCR testing is available on-site for a “special price”.

In the Maldives, The Heritance Aarah is offering complimentary PCR testing to guests and The Nautilus Maldives is offering on-site PCR testing with results delivered within 24 hours.
