Covid-19 testing centre opens at Cardiff airport

A Covid-19 testing service has opened at Cardiff airport’s arrival hall, catering to travellers and the general public.

It has been established in partnership with healthcare provider Nuffield Health and Katalyst Laboratories – a government-authorised distributor of SARS-CoV-2 rapid testing products.

PCR test results are available in four or 48 hours, costing £120 and £75 respectively, while lateral flow antigen test results will take one hour, for £40.

Tests are analysed at the on-site laboratory run by Nuffield Health with tests provided by Katalyst Laboratories.

Passengers flying into Cardiff can also use the service to book Covid-19 tests to meet their arrival and quarantine requirements.

Ceri Mashlan, operations director at the airport, said: “Testing will be a key factor in travel for the foreseeable future, and, as we prepare to welcome more passengers to the airport, it is important that we can provide this facility to enable customers to easily access Covid-19 testing services before they fly.”
