Flight departures from UK airports this festive season have reached 86% of pre-pandemic levels, new data reveals.
More than 5.5 million seats are available, equating to almost 31,000 departures between December 21 and January.
The number of departing flights are up by a third over the festive period a year ago.
But UK airport departures this Christmas remain 14% down compared to the same period in 2019 when there were 36,138 departing flights, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.
The most popular international destinations are Dublin, Amsterdam, Geneva, Tenerife-South and Paris.
EasyJet is calculated as the largest airline during the holiday period, with 5,928 departures from the UK, followed by British Airways, Ryanair and Loganair.
Heathrow is scheduled to see the largest number of departures over the festive period with 8,172, followed by Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester.
