Jet2 to restart European city breaks next week

Jet2.com and sister brand Jet2CityBreaks resume their European cities programme on Monday (February 7), following the easing of travel restrictions.

Flights to Rome from Birmingham and Manchester airports will be the first to take off next week, as the brands report a “significant increase in demand for city breaks”.

Three new routes will start in April: Manchester to Athens; Birmingham to Athens; and Birmingham to Barcelona.

Other services and city breaks that will resume in February include Barcelona, Budapest, Prague, Paris, Venice and Amsterdam. Pisa will restart on March 28.

Customers can choose from a flight-only option with Jet2.com or an Atol-protected package holiday with Jet2CityBreaks.

Flights are available from airports such as Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “With travel starting to return to normal, the demand for city breaks is coming back very strongly and the restart of our award-winning cities programme to key city break destinations comes at the perfect time to get away and explore a new capital or cultural centre.

“We are looking ahead with real confidence and optimism, and we expect the return of our cities programme to a number of major city break destinations be very popular, as we know how much customers want to discover their dream city break in 2022.”
