A-Rosa launches trade campaign alongside booking incentive

A-Rosa River Cruises has launched a trade campaign and agent incentive as it looks to boost summer sales.

The marketing campaign, which has the slogan ‘Why Now? Why Not?’, is designed to highlight to agents “there has never been a better time to promote river cruising due to the great value available”, the operator said.

A-Rosa managing director said Lucia Rowe said: “As agents continue to search for affordable summer options for their clients, we saw the value in creating a campaign that clearly puts river cruising up there as a viable option that they must consider, and we want to do all we can to ensure they offer it to customers as an alternative for city or resort stay enquiries.”

Agents who make a booking up to June 16 will be entered into a prize draw for a paddleboard worth more than £400.

As part of the campaign, A-Rosa will use all of its marketing channels to highlight prices available this summer. The time-sensitive peak offers for the season start at £1,329 per person.

Every week, the focus will be placed on a different area of the product, including the family offering and the “premium all-inclusive tariff”.

The cruise line has pointed to the rising costs of last-minute flights and accommodation and suggested that river cruising is currently “a very cost-effective option”.

Rowe said: “We know that holidaymakers want to feel they are getting value for money and an experience that is special to them.

“This campaign is all about bringing to the forefront those moments that are completely unique to river cruising, whilst also showing that due to all the inclusions it offers fantastic value for money.”

She added: “We like to do things a little differently at A-Rosa and we have so many activities that can be enjoyed during our cruises from exploring on two wheels or enjoying sundeck yoga to active excursions such as paddleboarding or, of course, our dedicated ‘Run The River’ running cruise.

“I hope the chance to win a paddleboard will really appeal and give agents the chance to see just how much fun it can be getting away from it all and exploring from the water.”

The paddleboard up for grabs is a Two Bare Feet stand-up model, with the winner being picked at random.
