Abta LifeLine seeks fundraising runners for Vitality London 10K

Abta LifeLine is calling on travel industry colleagues to run the 2024 Vitality London 10,000 on behalf of the charity.

The 10K will take place in central London on Sunday September 22.

Abta LifeLine is offering five free places to help raise funds for those in the industry in need of emotional, financial and practical support.

Runners of all abilities are welcome, from total beginners to casual runners and seasoned competitors.

The race route through the heart of London will give participants the opportunity to spot landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. About 15,000 runners are expected to take part.

LifeLine entrants will be set a target of raising £500 each for the charity, with proceeds going directly to support an individual or family in need within the travel community.

Trudie Clements, Abta LifeLine director, said: “This is a fun and exciting opportunity to fundraise for Abta LifeLine.

“Every kilometre run and every penny raised will make a huge contribution to people in the industry facing difficult times.

“We welcome everyone of all levels to get involved. So, whether you’re new to running and inspired by the recent London Marathon, or a more experienced runner, this will be an unforgettable day against a backdrop of some of London’s most stunning sights.”

For details, contact LifeLine@abtalifeline.org.uk. Places are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and fundraising is done though the charity’s JustGiving page.

It costs £46.50 for normal entry to the race.
