Advantage Travel Partnership appoints chief of people

Advantage Travel Partnership has appointed Xian Mayes to the newly-created position of chief of people.

Mayes has worked in HR for more than 20 years and will join from energy data and collection company IMServe Europe Ltd, where she held the position of HR director.

“I am very excited to be joining a company that has such a robust people-centric culture and one that is striving for authenticity in every area of its business,” said Mayes, who starts the role on July 18.

Julia Lo Bue-Said, Advantage Travel Partnership chief executive, said Mayes’s position will play a “vital role” in the company’s strategy going forward.

She said: “This new position of chief of people has been created to better reflect the importance that our people play in our overall business, both today and going forward.

“Her experience in all areas of HR will be a great support to us as we seek to further develop a future-proof people strategy, and also as we look to support our members and the wider industry in its attempt to become a more compelling and attractive sector to work in.”

Lo-Bue added: “We have set ourselves a demanding agenda for the year ahead, focused exclusively on building a strong, cohesive, people-driven organisation for our membership, and I am very much looking forward to working with my senior leadership team as we continue to strengthen our business for the benefit of our members.”
