Agent friends shift to ‘lounge concept’ from traditional high street outlet

Three agents have joined forces to develop a ‘lounge concept’ instead of a traditional high street agency.

Helen Tustin (pictured), Mel McCarthy and Claire Morgan have launched The Travel Lounge Penarth, which also includes Tustin’s company Wellbeing Travel.

Clients can arrange either an in lounge appointment or a virtual call to discuss their travel plans at a time suitable to their own lifestyle.

Tustin formed Wellbeing Travel in March 2020 just at the start of the pandemic to focus on journeys and wellbeing travel experiences at some of the world’s most immersive resorts.

Tustin has curated Lite, Classic, Immersion and Private Luxury collections to enable clients to choose their wellbeing experience.

She was previously chief operating officer at regional miniple Tailor Made Travel. Before that she was general manager of four-branch Regal Travel, which was acquired by Tailor Made in 2018.

McCarthy and Morgan have a wealth of knowledge in the industry having travelled extensively with more than 60 years of combined experience.

Both specialise in bespoke tailor-made travel arrangements and have built a loyal client base in the south Wales town through their personal touch and attentive service.

The trio, who have known each other for many years, are looking forward to a new future in an industry they all love.

They say they are excited to engage with clients and travel suppliers “both old and new”.
