AmaWaterways hails ‘record-breaking’ year as it unveils wave campaign

AmaWaterways has hailed a “record-breaking” year as it releases its 2024 wave campaign.

The river cruise line reported a 78% year-on-year increase in the number of UK travel agencies booking sailings, as well as a 46% boost in reservations made in 2023 compared to 2019.

The line said its success has enabled it to recruit sales director Andrea Stafford, grow its reservations team by 50% and add a dedicated agency support executive.

In its wave campaign, which launches on December 26, AmaWaterways is offering free flights and overseas transfers and savings of up to £1,500 per couple on select 2024 and 2025 cruises for bookings made by March 31, 2024.

Suite passengers will also receive free upgrades to business class flights.

Managing director Jamie Loizou said: “We are very pleased with this year’s results and delighted that our travel agent partners have earned more in commission from AmaWaterways than ever before.

“Our latest campaign is designed to appeal to luxury travellers, whether they are looking for one of our award-winning twin balcony staterooms or one of the most spacious suites on Europe’s rivers.

“This year’s strong wave offer applies to more cruise departure dates than ever before, making it easier for our travel agent partners to sell an AmaWaterways river cruise.”
