Audley adds Canada tour inspired by Fiennes documentary

Audley Travel has expanded its Canada programme with an itinerary inspired by the epic journey showcased in Fiennes: Return to the Wild on the National Geographic channel.

The two-part documentary features explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and his cousin, actor Joseph Fiennes, as they retrace Ran’s 1971 pioneering expedition through challenging landscapes in British Columbia.

Audley’s itinerary begins in Vancouver before moving to the Fraser Valley to try salmon, sturgeon and trout fishing.

Clients travel onto the Khutzeymateen Valley to look for grizzly bears in their natural habitat and experience the wilderness of the Great Bear Rainforest on a multi-day kayak adventure. The trip ends in the small, artistic coastal towns of the Sunshine Coast.

This new itinerary can be booked as Audley’s experts suggest or be used as a starting point to work with a country specialist to design a tailor-made trip.

For example, a stay at a bear lodge can replace the kayak tour for clients who prefer a less physically demanding option.

The 21-day Into the Wilds of British Columbia self-drive trip costs from £8,930 per person, based on two sharing.

It includes flights, car hire, accommodation and excursions.
