BP Travel Marketing reports continued demand for holiday brochures

BP Travel Marketing has reported continued growth in demand among travel agents for tour operators’ brochures during this year’s peak season.

The brochure distribution and travel marketing company said trade orders for brochures in January were 20% up on January 2022.  The number of brochures dispatched to agents in January was up by 34%.

The company, which witnessed a 130% jump in trade orders for brochures once Covid restrictions eased in February last year compared with December 2021, said the growth in demand reflected the continued bounce back in the package holiday sector.

The company said the positive figures meant order numbers were returning to expected levels after an accelerated decline during Covid.

David McLellan, general manager representing BP Travel Marketing by Menzies Distribution, said: “It’s fantastic that the strong recovery we saw after the easing of pandemic restrictions has continued into the start of 2023.

“With cost-of-living pressures bearing down on consumers, it may be that we see a tail-off in growth, but throughout January and February that upward trajectory of orders continues and for now, the signs remain encouragingly positive.”

Through the company’s B2B online brochure ordering service TradeGate, BP provides agents with brochures and product updates and offers on behalf of operators.
