Classic Collection brochure combines Portugal and Madeira for first time

Classic Collection has published a brochure combining Portugal and Madeira for the first time, with 20 new properties featured.

The operator said its 116-page brochure, showcasing a total of 86 properties, was designed to make life easier for agents.

Alex Gavalda, Classic Collection’s director of product and commercial, said: “For the first time, we’ve combined Portugal and Madeira so that agents have all the information to hand in one brochure; a move which also helps with racking and display within agencies.”

Of the 86 properties, no fewer than 25 are boutique heritage hotels, Portuguese pousadas or Madeiran quintas, Classic Collection said.

The operator added that the launch comes as Portugal celebrates reports on its “most successful first quarter ever for tourism”.

The new properties in the brochure span the Algarve, Porto and Douro, Lisbon and the Estoril Coast, and Madeira and Porto Santo.

The resort of Aljezur, to the north and west of the Algarve, features for the first time for the operator, which has worked with Portugal throughout the company’s 35 years of trading.

Gavalda said: “Portugal has a culture, history and landscape that can rival anywhere in Europe.

“The destination has many enviable features, from mild climate and great location on the edge of the Atlantic to incredibly varied natural landscapes alongside characterful towns, cities and islands.”

Seven-night all-inclusive stays at Tivoli Alvor, Algarve, and Calheta Beach Hotel, Madeira, start at £1,455 and £1,388 respectively.

City breaks at Hyatt Regency Lisbon start at £799 for three nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

All holidays come with a UK airport lounge pass, up to 23kg of hold luggage per person, private transfers and Classic Concierge Service in the resort.
