Coach holiday brands launch recruitment drives

Two coach holiday brands have unveiled recruitment drives as the travel market recovers from the pandemic.

Caledonian Travel is seeking sales agents for its travel shops at the bus station in Middlesbrough and its head office in Leeds.

It is also recruiting sales agents and a supervisor for its new travel shop at Wakefield bus station, as well as home-based workers covering evening and weekend shifts for its contact centre.

The agents will be selling holidays for two sister brands – Caledonian Travel and UKBreakaways.

Meanwhile, The JG Travel Group is looking for a range of posts to be filled at its Cheltenham HQ, to support “fast-paced growth”.

Jobs being advertised include customer contact assistants, management accountants, sales analyst, health and safety officer, admin support for sales and reservations sales consultants.

Andy Freeth, chief executive of The JG Travel Group – parent company of Just Go Holidays and sister brands National Holidays and Omega Breaks – said: “We are currently recruiting for a wide range of roles throughout the business as a result of our faced-paced growth and to capitalise on our acquisition of National Holidays last summer.

“I’m pleased to say that we managed not to make any redundancies during the pandemic and we simply have more roles to fill.”

He tweeted: “HIRING – We have a wide range of opportunities to support our fast paced growth. Hit the link for more details and come and join us in Cheltenham.”

News of the recruitment drives came as National Express unveiled a venture to consolidate its coach holiday brands under one banner.

Its new National Express Leisure brand is seeking staff for new roles in marketing, sales, product development, management and distribution.
