Colletts Travel, part of Global Travel Collection, has reported a “rush” to book long-haul destinations thanks to early booking offers.
The luxury travel specialist said the deals meant that enquiries have risen for long-haul destinations such as Mexico, and countries in Asia including Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
The agency also observed “heightened interest” from clients for once-in-a-lifetime trips to destinations such as Japan and South Africa.
Destinations such as Dubai, the Caribbean, the US, Maldives and European countries including Greece, Spain and Italy also remain popular.
Jennifer Hartnett, head of tour operations and contracting at Colletts Collection – Colletts Travel’s in-house luxury tour operator – said: “We are seeing a trend of clients booking multiple trips at once, with a longer booking window extending into 2025.
“Many are keen to avail of early booking offers and secure their seasonal travel. We are now seeing more stability in booking trends, resembling traditional leisure patterns, which have been fluctuating over the past few years.
“We have noticed increased demand for private air travel, yacht sailings, and personal butler concierge services.”
She also said the average length of trips has increased from seven days a year ago to an average of 10 days.
Hartnett said Colletts Travel had responded to demand for more experiential and bucket-list trips by creating itineraries based on major sporting events and unique experiences.
“Some of our advisors have been creating bespoke trips for Grand Prix events, and various trips around Italy, with a focus on set-jetting,” added Hartnett.
Other tailormade holidays include small-ship cruising to Alaska; a private yacht cruise around Mykonos; supporting lion conservation in Zambia; and expeditions to destinations such as Antarctica and Rwanda.
