Contiki unveils Love Island-themed agent incentive

Youth specialist Contiki has launched an agent incentive to coincide with the start of Love Island on ITV2.

The eighth series of the dating reality show, which began on Monday (June 6), features 11 contestants in a villa in Majorca – and the operator expects the show to prompt a surge in interest for summer breaks.

Each month, Contiki will give away a Summer Social to the top-selling store for that period, along with Love Island-themed spot prizes for top-selling agents each week.

The Summer Social will see party food and drink provided by Contiki.

To participate, agents need to join the Contiki UK & Ireland Agents Facebook group, which has more than 4,000 members.

The Contiki trade sales team can also offer additional training for any stores or agents who want support with sales tips and product knowledge.

Donna Jeavons, Contiki sales and marketing director, said: “Every year Contiki is flooded with enquiries for summer trips when Love Island starts.

“We’re expecting that trend to continue, as contestants enter a brand new villa in Mallorca for the first time.

“Agents already do a brilliant job of selling trips at the height of a Love Island series, but we hope the lure of a ‘Summer Social’ will give them an added incentive.”
